Groom Up Your Business
If you have ever had a pet that requires grooming, you will likely notice a spring in their step after it is over. It is liberating what a cleansing bath and hair cut can do for them!
It’s springtime, time to assess your own business for a trim and some groom time.
We recently went through a thorough reboot for the building event of which we were a suite host. This required us to clean, reorganize, and move things around to create a cleaner and leaner look. It was somewhat exhausting. We had to try a few different furniture arrangements until we found one that worked. That, in and of itself, can be quite a workout.
While we were in the midst of the groom, we needed to buy more cleaning supplies. We needed to rearrange things and find more permanent homes for them, other than wherever they had previously landed. We needed to purchase a new vacuum cleaner and carve out new storage for all the supplies. It had been five (5) years since we moved into the suite, it truly required a cleaning reboot.
It has been a week now since the office groom. We find ourselves determined to keep it this well kept. It is so much nicer to be invited back into your own space when it is clean, organized, and a show stopper. You will find yourself inspired again, reinvigorated to make a difference, dedicated to working in a much more civilized environment. It is always easier to give your office a weekly brush-out than wait months or even years. Imagine your pet going that long without a bath, a haircut, or a full groom!
As Spring finally rolls in, take an assessment of your surroundings. One full day is all it may take to clean-up your space, and re-energize your business environment. It’s a perfect time for a groom up!
Be well.
