Cheers to 5 Years in Business
Today marks our 5 year anniversary. We began the company on November 4, 2019, a mere few months before a world pandemic!
It has been an interesting 5 years. One of our proudest accomplishments is the creation and genesis of our weekly Blog, Making A Point. The Blog is written weekly and covers the many aspects of being a business owner. It provides commentary on topics from the different types of commercial leases to the many aspects of branding your identity and firm. And, of course, it often uses metaphors of our beloved sporting dog breed, the Barbet.
Over the years, one of the finest compliments we have received about the Blog was that it was a ‘beacon of light.’ This made us smile and we often appreciate the business owner took the time to share that perspective with us. We all do what we do for economic reasons but also to know we are making a positive difference. We can only know that with feedback like that comment. It is one we cherish and will likely always remember.
Our professional women’s idea network (IWON) continues to meet monthly. It was created right after the Pandemic Pause ended. Initially, it was a great way to reconnect after so much time away from human interaction. It continues today with a core group of women sharing ideas and providing inspiration to one another for the many opportunities and challenges we all face in our professional lives.
As we begin our journey into year 6, we are excited to launch our Making A Point book very soon. It is intended to be a guide for business owners and organizational leaders. There is levity among the topics and reflection upon what we all contend with on a daily basis. It can be used for business students to understand what it is like to be a business owner. And, amidst the many pages, information on banking services we all need at various levels throughout the life of our business.
We would like to thank everyone who has been a client, follows our Blog, and who will buy our book. We need our community for all aspects of our business and we are privileged to consider you among it.
Be well.
