PostCards
Have you received any hard copy postcards in the mail recently? We have, and they really caught our attention.
In today’s technology savvy world of branding and advertising, there are many venues available to firms to promote their products and services. A simple effort of sending out standard size, 4 x 6 postcards, may be one to research.
We recently purchased a special anniversary book for a neighborhood cultural institution and the author not only signed the book but included a glossy thank you postcard. The postcard also serves as a great bookmark. It is shiny and soft and makes you feel good with its large two words of thank you. Every time you look at it, you cannot help but smile. It just feels good to the touch and reminds you that you made a positive gesture by purchasing the book and contributing to an important cultural institution.
Another example of utilizing postcards for marketing purposes presented itself when a small retail business we follow on social media announced a campaign to raise funds for one of the areas impacted by a recent hurricane. They encouraged followers to consider making a donation by purchasing much needed pet supplies for the many pets displaced in the recent hurricanes that devastated many areas within the southern states. The digital postcard was colorful, certainly caught our attention, and conveyed a very important message.
If you can afford to help those in need, why not join a cause that one of your customers, vendors, colleagues is already spearheading? Or, you choose the cause and start your own campaign to contribute to it. Either approach is an important way for your business to help others in need.
The thank you postcard we received really had an impactful positive effect. Whether a physical card or digital, consider using one for your next campaign. They are easy to find at online printing sites which offer very affordable options. Use a standard card or customize with your logo, and you are ready to print or send.
Customizing a postcard with your logo, your furry mascot, a photo of your new product, or the cause you are promoting, can be a simple manner to brand for success, without a heavy ask on time or financial resources. Look for one of our postcards coming soon!
Be well.
