Color Up!
Fatigue is in all our lives. And that includes our professional surroundings. How best to cope with Business Fatigue is a real question to be answered in these Pandemic and work at home days.
Last week we took a few days off and visited the Seneca Lake area. It is know for having superb wineries. There are also wonderful state parks in the region. And it was also a birthday celebration. Nothing said celebration more than walking into the hotel room with a bouquet of Colorful Balloons with Happy Birthday on them. Blue, Pink, Turquoise & Orange, colors of the rainbow. That business, a hotel chain owned locally, really went the extra mile to bring on a smile and help relieve the fatigue we all have been experiencing.
I also attended a Zoom meeting prior to the getaway and most people attending, that we could see, had white backgrounds. One attendee had a beautiful blue wall behind her. It jumped out at me and I thought that person looks healthier than the rest of us. I am now going to change my video background to be one with a painted wall. The addition of color, or colour for our international friends, can be a quick and easy fix for some of that working at home fatigue.
I would challenge each reader to consider adding some color to your business world. Paint a wall, buy a piece of colorful art to have as your video background, wear a vibrant sweater - any of these will color your business presentation. And, if my attraction to the blue painted wall can engage and inspire me, I hope it can do so for many others.
Be like our dog in today’s Blog, Amoeba, the Bedlington Terrier, and add some color to your world. She was groomed by our friend, Macie Pisa, who will be a competitor on Pooch Purrfect airing tomorrow night on ABC. Watch for our local celebrity team and you will surely find some ideas for color!
Meet that fatigue head on and inspire others to follow your burst of color into Spring.
Be well.
