Hop to it!
As we journey through a holiday that, for many, represents a new start and spring into summer, change is all around us. Now, is the time, to hop to that reassement of your business and identify where positive change can happen.
One area that requires at least annual assessment is your technology. Is it up to date? If there are options in more recent technology that will make your business easier or more productive, look into small business technology grants. We have seen several programs pop up with the PPP legislation over the past year. Search the internet for local programs, ask your commercial banker, or check with your local SBA office or Industrial Development Agency. We know of at least one of our clients who was able to upgrade all their technology from one such grant.
With that new technology, do not forget to visit your software and its ability to fight off scammers and spammers. Ask your IT provider if you have the best firewall and the best anti-virus program software for your business.
Our office receives daily Spam Risk coded incoming phone calls. Many of those have a computer generated message that, at times, is not even in English. If your called id says Spam Risk or Telemarketer or Blocked, let it go to voice mail. Make sure your office and cell numbers are on the Do Not Call List. We have found that is not fool proof but it does seem to cut down on the number of distracting calls received. There are also specific Apps for blocking Spam calls that might appeal to you. Just check your computer or phone Apps.
The race to remain competitive with technology is real. Be like our dog of the week, Harvey the French Bulldog, who is hopping to it, not to be outdone. Technology grants are out there, hop to it, and find one for your company!
Be well.
