The Confident Stare Down
Recently, in our IWON sessions, the topic of confidence came up. Who has it? Who doesn't? Is it acquired or natural? How do we know when confidence has become something more negative?
If you want to lead, you need confidence. If you need to make decisions, you need confidence. And if you wish someone to buy your product or utilize your service, you need confidence in helping them to see why they need it. Confidence is a balancing act between strength and humility.
To confidently move your business forward, take pride in your results, your accomplishments, and your dreams. Do not be afraid to change things up that are not inspiring you. Is it time for new colors in your logo, or even a new logo all together? Perhaps a change of physical scenery? Does the home office fully reflect your brand? Maybe a new commercial space may provide a fresh perspective from which to launch your business forward and, along with it, your confidence.
Ongoing education, seminars that may give you the extra edge you are missing, are always a good topic to research. The more you know the better position you will be in to launch that new product and position yourself more favorably against your competition. And boldly go where you have not yet been. Never stop learning and never stop trying new ways to bolster your business and, in the process, your confidence.
Finding support in knowledge, peer groups, colleagues, and your personal and professional accomplishments will go a long way in propelling you and your business forward. Stare down any obstacles in your way and do not be afraid to seek insight and support from your colleagues. Nothing feels as accomplished as a decision made with complete confidence. And the end result usually reflects the strength in that confident focus.
Be well.
